The CEOs of nine major drug-making companies have pledged they won't overlook people's safety to rush COVID-19 vaccine in the market. The nine drugmakers include AstraZeneca, BioNTech, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co, Moderna, Novavax, Pfizer and Sanofi.
They agreed to submit vaccines for clearance only when they're shown to be safe and effective in Phase 3 clinical studies.
